Classified Ads FAQ's

Will my contact information be sold or otherwise distributed?

No. We will use your contact information only for billing and the verification or clarification of your posting. It will be displayed with your posting only to the extent you specify on your submittal form.

What if I don't want to display my phone or fax number, or my e-mail address with my posting?

You may choose not to display this information, however you must provide it to us for billing purposes.

Can I change my posting, or remove it, after it’s been activated?

No. You will need to contact the Illinois Municipal League to make any changes after posting your job ad. You may call the IML at 217-525-1220 or send a note to Make a change on my ad.

How long will my posting remain active?

Postings will remain active for a maximum of 30 days from date of activation. You may, however, specify a shorter duration.

Can the invoice for the ad be sent to a different person or address than responses to the ad?

Yes. Place the "reply to" information within the ad. Place "for billing purposes only" information in a separate paragraph at the end.

Can I include an image of my item for sale?

Yes. The image must be a either a .gif or .jpg file, 300 pixel maximum width.
